Email and Blog Review - Part 2

This post covers some other aspects of what we did in class October 8, 2009.
Besides creating an email account with Google, we also signed up with Google's service called "Blogger," to create our own blogs. (To review how to log in to your Google email account, scroll down and read the previous post "Email and Blog Review - Part 1." )
We practiced getting to our blogs, selecting a blog style from the templates they provide, writing our first post and publishing it onto our blog, as well as uploading a picture to publish onto our blog. It was a fun class!



Now here are step by step instructions on how to get to and log-in to our blogs...


Getting to and logging in to your blog with Blogger...
...if you are already logged in to your Google email account (Gmail):

1.) Type in the word "Blogger" in the Google search bar directly above your email Inbox. Left-click the "search the web" button (the second button) next to the search bar.

2.) At the Google search results page, left-click the top blue link that says "Blogger: Create your free blog".

3.) At the Blogger sign-in page, type in your Gmail password (your username will already be filled in if you already logged in to Gmail). Hit "enter" on your keyboard.

4.) This will take you to your blog "Dashboard." It's where you can get to all the editing features of your blog. To view your blog, left-click the blue words "View Blog," under your blog title.



Getting to and logging in to your blog with Blogger...
...if you have not already logged in to your Google email account (Gmail):

1.) Type "http://www.google.com" in the address bar at the top of the web browser. Hit "enter" on your keyboard.

2.) At the Google search engine, type the word "blogger" in the search bar in the center of the page. Hit "enter" on your keyboard.

3. At the Google search results page, left-click on the blue link that says, "Blogger: Create your free blog" at the top of the list of results.

4. At the Blogger sign in page, type in your Google account username and password (it's the same one you use to log in to your Gmail). Hit "enter" on your keyboard.

5. This will take you to your blog "Dashboard." It's where you can get to all the editing features of your blog. To view your blog, left-click the blue words "View Blog," under your blog title.


Remember, when in doubt, you can always left-click the Blogger logo (in the upper left corner of you blog) to get back to your Dashboard!
